Sometimes parents just have to take one for the team. That’s exactly what Kim Kardashian West did when she took her 5-year-old daughter, North, camping, despite not being “the most outdoorsy kind of girl”.

“Camping is literally the last thing in my life that I want to do,” said Kardashian West in an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “I don’t know how I’m going to build a tent. I just don’t do that.”

After watching the camping scenes from The Parent Trap, North has been begging her reality star mom to trade her luxurious nighttime routine for a night under the stars.

They made it a triple mother-daughter date with Larsa Pippen and her 10-year-old, Sophia, as well as Tracy Romulus and her daughter Ryan. The group headed to Lake Hemet in California, where they went fishing and built a tent. And to top off the outdoorsy experience – they even peed in a bucket!

North was said to have “the best time” during the trip, while Kardashian West’s idea of fun is quite different.

“I hope North doesn’t think it’s a tradition and that we have to go every year,” she said, “because that’s not going to happen.”
