In a recent sit-down interview whilst covering the latest issue of PAPER magazine, Kylie Jenner denied something we all assumed for a good while – having had plastic surgery.

Anyone who has (and probably anyone who hasn’t) been keeping track of the cultural force that is the Kardashian-Jenner clan is no doubt aware of the seeming overnight transformation of the youngest of the sisters, from demure, shy, kid sister, to arguably the most prominent of the bunch (she has Instagram followers to rival big sister Kim, and now the most dollar, too).

And part of such change has been the marked transformation of her appearance, from body shape and figure, to facial structure and features. However, she denies the long-standing rumours of plastic surgery. “People think I fully went under the knife and completely reconstructed my face, which is completely false… I’m terrified! I would never,” she told the magazine.

Looking back to her earlier teen days, it’s hard to overstate the transformation, and she barely looks like the same person. But then again, we’re lucky our prepubescent days weren’t all over social media.

What she doesn’t deny, however, is getting a little help from fillers. Discussing the transformation she admits, “It’s fillers, I’m not denying that.” For Kylie watchers, this isn’t news. Back in July, she caught the attention of her fanbase when she posed looking au naturel, ie. sans lip fillers. (They made a return just months later, though, even larger than before.) But since “fillers” can encompass much more than lips (think jaw and eye contouring, cheek plumping, non surgical nose jobs, filling, lifting and any kind of volumizing), we’re inclined to believe her.

And she sure knows the power of a fuller pout, having built her cosmetics line around the infamous lip kits which have helped cement Kylie Cosmetics’s status as one of beauty’s biggest brands. Admittedly, she put her more glamorous image down to three things: “They don’t understand what good hair and makeup and like, fillers, can really do.”
