We were really starting to worry about where Kylie and Kendall Jenner’s next pay cheque would come from. Between the international modelling gigs, the makeup collection, the advertising campaigns, and the television show, it seems the Jenners’ marketing machine just wasn’t generating quite enough dough. Okay, while we’re giving them a bit of a hard time, the reality is, it’s pretty inspiring to see these two young, female entrepreneurs take over the fashion world.
And now, just in time for sunshine, pool parties, and beach season, the sister duo has partnered with TopShop to launch a totally #onpoint swimwear line (Kendall&Kylie Swim) for their combined 100-million followers to fawn over. We can just imagine all of the “Please, mom, can I borrow your credit card” begging that this collection will cause.
From what we can tell from our expert Instagram investigating—Kylie was on set shooting images for the campaign—the multi-piece line consists of super sexy, body-con-dress-inspired pieces. The swimwear looks like the Herve Leger runway–you know, those skin tight bandage dresses–had a baby with ultra trendy swimwear brand Triangl. It’s sultry, and takes swimwear beyond it’s main purpose, which is, well, to swim in.

While the black-and-yellow two-piece, with black band cut-outs, that 18-year-old Kylie is sporting on her Insta account enhances her picture-perfect assets, we’re not sure this is the kind of swimwear that the general public will be running out to buy. (It looks a little suffocating, and a tad pinchy to us.) But, if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that the Jenners and the Kardashians know their audience–err, at least, some big-wig marketing exec in LA knows their audience–and they’ll be hawking this swimwear to millenial and gen Z fans like it’s going it or style. Which it won’t be. Obviously. Because this swimwear line is going to be so hot for summer 2016.
