It isn’t every day that a huge superstar pays a little love to a Canadian designer. Sure, Kate Middleton wears Smythe and Erdem, but those are huge brands with impressive reach. But Lady Gaga just did an amazing thing – she wore a head-to-toe suede outfit from sisters Chloe and Parris Gordon, the duo behind Toronto-based label Beaufille.

Exposure like this is huge and essential for a young label (the sisters recently participated in a Star Wars fashion show at Toronto Fashion Week). And, it’s Lady Gaga, so people are watching. Previously, Dakota Johnson has sported Beaufille, but that was before she played Anastasia Steele. The sisters’ clothing has even been seen on Mariel Hemmingway‘s daughter, Langley Fox Hemmingway, Vitiligo spokesperson and model Winnie Harlow, and Gossip Girl alum Jessica Szohr.

The suede look first appeared as Beaufille’s opening look at the Mercedes Benz Startup competition this year.

We’re pretty gaga for Beaufille, ourselves.
