It was probably a sleepless (but happy!) weekend for former Glee star Lea Michele and her husband Zandy Reich. After announcing her pregnancy earlier this year, Michele, 33, has given birth to a healthy baby boy. And no, there’s no word if the New Directions cover of Salt-n-Pepa’s “Push It” made the birthing playlist.A source confirmed the good news to People, revealing that little Ever Leo was born on August 20. (And as anyone who's into astrology has probably already noted, the name is perfectly aligned with those stars since Ever’s birth date makes him a Leo.) “Everyone’s happy and healthy, and they’re extremely grateful,” the source told the publication. “He’s been a good baby so far.”[video_embed id='1985104']RELATED: Emma Roberts is reportedly pregnant[/video_embed]People was also the first to report that Michele and Reich were expecting in late April and then the couple made things Instagram official on May 2 when Michele posted a photo of herself in a flowy blue dress cradling her bump. “So grateful,” she captioned the photo, adding a yellow heart emoji. Since then Michele has shared a few other snaps of her bump on the social media platform, but so far (at time of press) she hadn’t yet introduced the world to Ever.Michele and Reich, a businessman, began dating in 2017 and they went on to tie the knot in a California wedding on March 9, 2019. Before the pregnancy news broke, Michele posted a video of her and her hubby from the big day to celebrate their one-year anniversary, giving fans a more intimate look of the festivities that went down.Considering the 33-year-old former Glee star's comments in past interviews, it seems like starting a family as soon as possible was always in the cards. “I'm going to have like a billion [kids]! But mainly because I always hated being an only child, I always wished I had more siblings!" Michele told Glamour U.K. in 2014. “They've always wanted to be parents," a source confirmed to People in the original story announcing the pregnancy.Ever’s birth comes in the middle of a tumultuous year in the spotlight for Michele. Earlier this year, Samantha Marie Ware opened up about her experiences working with the Glee lead, revealing that she faced microaggressions from Michele when she was on set. Others like guest stars Dabier Snell, Alex Newell and series regular Amber Riley also chimed in with their support for Ware at the time.In early June, after Michele lost her partnership with HelloFresh over the allegations, the actress addressed them in an emotional Instagram post where she vowed to learn from the fallout and do better.“I am a couple of months from becoming a mother and I know I need to keep working to better myself and take responsibility for my actions, so that I can be a real role model for my child and so I can pass along my lessons and mistakes, so that they can learn from me,” she wrote. “I listened to these criticisms and I am learning and while I am very sorry, I will be better in the future from this experience.”[video_embed id='1971309']RELATED: Lea Michele apologizes for behaviour on set of 'Glee'[/video_embed]
