As a Raptors fan, it’s hard to get on the Lebron James train when he has been a driving force in stopping Canada’s only basketball team from advancing in the playoffs. But apart from his impressive track record (on and off the court — no, he won’t just shut up and dribble), Lebron and his Cleveland Cavaliers were also looking pretty slick in their custom Thom Browne suits.

King James, in a gesture truly befitting to his royal moniker, gifted his team with the custom-tailored suits to wear before away games for the remainder of the postseason. “It represents all of it — camaraderie, solidarity, brotherhood. It definitely creates a feeling like we are one and in this together,” James said in an email to the New York Times.
Alas, perhaps it was because the suits were grey (like Reddit’s current outlook for the Raps) and cut a bit short (like our attempts from deep), that these sharp outfits weren’t enough for for a win, with the Indiana Pacers taking the series lead, 2-1. (Yes, I am a salty Raptors fan, but yes, I will continue to ride or die with them for as long as the postseason allows.)
For superstition’s sake (we’re guessing), the Cavs ditched the grey in Game 4, and arrived looking equally as chic in black suits. Though we did get Men in Black vibes, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. They ended up beating the Pacers, tying the series up 2-2.

So if it all it takes are some polished black suits to win a game, then surely our boys from the North would benefit from some sharp Gucci suits. Or maybe some Canadian tuxedos? Drake, are you listening?
