How do celebrities prank their friends? Well, you either go all out and fill your friend’s car with Christmas balls because you can afford it OR you pretend to be paparazzi and scare the living daylights out of him in the middle of the street. That’s exactly what Leonardo DiCaprio did to friend and Wolf of Wall Street co-star, Jonah Hill when they met on the street in New York.
Apparently the pair had planned to meet in the West Village, but DiCaprio saw an opportunity for a good laugh and pounced. Literally. File this one under ‘pranks that only work on celebrity friends.’ Also, does it seem ironic that Leo pretending to be paparazzi was all caught on camera… by paparazzi?
Jonah might have been a little fazed (he even removed an earbud and you know what it takes to get someone to do that) but Leo made it all better with one of the longest and most dramatic hugs we’ve seen off of a movie set. Seriously, cue the escalating The Notebook theme, this bromance is real.
Can we get another DiHillio movie soon, please? Or at least some more public bromantic encounters like this one.
