After twenty-two years and over six thousand episodes (holy smokes!), millions of viewers tuned in to the series finale of The Late Show with David Letterman last night. It seems that the majority of folks who caught Dave’s final episode felt unanimously that the highlight of the night was the epic last reading of the ‘Top Ten List.’

Dave’s most iconic sketch went out with some serious star-power as 10 of Letterman’s most popular guests appeared to read each number of the “Top Ten things I’ve always wanted to say to Dave.” Obviously awesomeness ensued.

All-star guests like Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Barbara Walters, Bill Murray, Steve Martin and Chris Rock each delivered a hilarious final zinger to the classic late night host, and he graciously accepted each charming burn. A mistake Steve? Really?

After the sketch, Dave took time to walk over and thank each star, including Bill Murrary, who took a not-so-graceful drunken spill on national television the night before. Dave jokingly asked his pal “I saw you on TV last night, are you alright?” Too good!

Aw Dave. We miss you already.
