Malin Akerman and Jack Donnelly made their relationship paperwork official. The couple got married in Tulum, Mexico over the weekend and based on the pictures, she was a blushing bride. Which is perfect because it matched her dress, a simple pink one with a thigh-high slit designed by Cushnie. She told Brides magazine that she “decided on a colour instead of white because it’s the second time round and I wanted it to be different.” Makes sense. And she was stunning.

Aside from looking pretty in pink, Akerman gave hope to everyone earlier this year when she revealed just how she and Donnelly began dating.
“[Jack] is actually my youngest sister’s boyfriend’s friend from drama school in England,” she said during an appearance on Live! with Kelly and Ryan. “I have known him for the past four years but didn’t see him … Then all of a sudden he came back from England like a year-and-a-half ago, and I went, ‘Wow, have you always been this cute?'”
Adorable, right? They got engaged in October 2017 and the rest is history.
But back to her dress. Malin’s not the only celebrity bride to forgo conventional white in favour of something more non-traditional. Whether it’s a second marriage or white just isn’t their thing, these stars wanted to stand out in more ways than one.
