After breaking a Billboard record and winning two Moon Men at last night’s MTV VMAs, it’s safe to say that Lil Nas X has officially won the summer. But if he has it his way, his winning streak will continue into the fall — his next single Panini is on the way, and we may just see a new run of remixes coming our way a la Old Town Road. Could the first collab be with none other than Joe Jonas?

Twitter might hold the answer: In a quick exchange this evening, Jonas lamented his missed opportunity to be featured on an OTR remix. Lil Nas X quote-tweeted him to say “imma let you on Panini don’t worry.”

…and the Twitter streets went wild.

Lil Nas X premiered Panini last night at the VMAs, and we’re ready to see how he rolls out a new #1 campaign with this track. How do you beat a record-breaking 19 weeks at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart? With the success of building OTR’s longevity through innovative remixes with artists like Billy Ray Cyrus, Young Thug, Mason Ramsey, and RM of BTS, X might be prepping to follow the same model with Panini.

Who else could be on a Panini remix? Joe Jonas seems to have first dibs — but we have a list of folks we’d love to see on the bouncy track. Twitter fiends vouched for Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus (keeping it in the Cyrus fam with that last one), but we’re also here for a guest appearance by Normani or Da Baby — and if a dope video is in the works, imagine a feature from icon and MTV VMA Video Vanguard award winner Missy Elliott?

We’re pressed as paninis just thinking about it. Don’t make us wait too long, Lil Nas X!
