With the exception of some tales of a lousy ex-boyfriend, Lindsay Lohan has stayed out of the headlines — and out of trouble — in recent years. As for her professional life, she’s guest-starred on some comedies, had that reality show on Oprah’s network and tried her hand on stage in London’s West End, but for the most part, the LiLo of Mean Girls and Freaky Friday was a distant memory.

Now, Lohan is looking to change all that.

Those of us who have a thing for British television (and who are rooting for Lohan) were delighted to see her announce her latest project: the second season of Sick Note.

😊Back on set of my new TV show #SickNote 😜

A post shared by Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) on

Sick Note centres on a man named Daniel Glass (Rupert Grint) who, after being misdiagnosed with a fatal disease decides to keep the truth about his health under wraps when he realizes everyone around him treats him better because of it. It also stars Nick Frost as his doctor, and Don Johnson as Daniel’s boss, Kenny West. Lindsay will play Katerina West, Kenny’s daughter, reports Variety.

The good news? Sick Note was renewed for a second season before Season 1 has even aired. (It’s scheduled to premiere on Sky in the U.K. this fall.) The even better news? Two awesome gingers in one cast.

Hopefully this is the bounce-back for LiLo that everyone has been waiting for. She looks good, healthy and, more importantly, eager and raring to go. The only question? Will her character have an American accent or will she speak Lilohan?
