We thought that clock looked familiar.

At some point in all of our lives, we have, as Seinfeld put it, “regifted.” That is, the act of giving someone a gift that was once gifted to you. But according to Lisa Kudrow, her Friends co-star Matthew Perry once upped the ante on that by giving her a gift that wasn’t even his to give—a prop from the Friends set.Speaking with the host over video chat during Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she pointed to the bookshelf over her right shoulder where a big "Cookie Time" white clock was sitting, and pointed out, “That was in Monica and Rachel's apartment!” Yes, we’ve seen that in literally every episode (and yet somehow never paid it much attention)! Apparently Matthew Perry gave that to her as a gift at the wrap party when the series came to a close, which caused a fit of laughter amongst their finale-tears, and there’s an excellent reason why.
“So we're shooting a scene,” she explains, already giggling at the memory. “And my line was ‘Oh, oh I better get going!’ like, ‘Oh I'm late! I better get going!’ except I didn't have a watch and we were shooting it. It was too late when I realized I don't have a watch. So how do I know I have to get going?""And so, just as the words were coming out I went, ‘Oh good there's a clock,’" she continued. "I gestured to that, and said, ‘Oh look at the time. I gotta to get going!’ And Matthew said, ‘Did you just point to the cookie jar and say look at the time?’”Ever the astute observer, Jimmy said, “So Matthew gave you a gift that didn't actually belong to him, which are really the best gifts.” Touché.

While this is the first time we've had the privilege of peeking inside Ms. Kudrow's home office to see the display of Friends memorabilia, the cookie jar is clearly near and dear to her heart since she's talked about her affection for the prop before. In an interview with InStyle last year, she explained that it's connected to one of her favourite Friends memories and even contains a sweet note from Perry inside that "makes [her] want to cry." She also said in the interview she figured Matthew had asked special permission to take it, but seemed more suspicious when chatting with Kimmel that her co-star had actually stolen it."I think the first thing I asked was, 'This is so nice! Did you get permission?' because my car used to get searched every night when I left," Kudrow said.[video_embed id='1957155']RELATED: ‘Friends’ reunion likely coming at end of summer [/video_embed]Our gal Pheebs had a lot more Friends memorabilia around her too, like a collection of character bobbleheads that don’t actually look like any of the characters. She also noted the coincidence that May 27th (which is her 25th wedding anniversary, BTW) was supposed to be the air date of the Friends reunion special on HBO Max, which has been postponed due to the COVID-19 global pandemic shutting down all productions in Hollywood for the time being.Luckily, we've still been able to see Lisa hang out with some of the cast, as last week her and Courtney Cox played a (pre-quarantine) game of Celebrity Escape Room with Ben Stiller (also a former Friends guest star), Adam Scott and Jack Black and she's also currently starring in Space Force, alongside Steve Carrell.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: 10-month-old rottweiler still sucks her owner’s thumb [/video_embed]
