What in the name of holy Hideaways just happened on Love Island (Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV)? First, two new boys and one girl arrived and sent the entire villa into a tailspin and then the episode ended with Kyra and Weston possibly being a thing. Can you get sunstroke from just watching people in bathing suits five nights a week or did that actually happen?
THE NEW ISLANDERS
No shade to Anton and Jered, but there was so much happening with Emily that we don’t have time for you two. You’re both very pretty and Anton may have a shot with Caro, but that’s all the time we can devote to you tonight. Blame Emily.
EMILY IS EVERYONE’S TYPE
Boys, girls, couples, it didn’t matter. If you were in the villa Monday night, then you probably made a play for Emily. The 21-year-old law student who isn’t in law school yet came in hot, with her abs of steel stealing everyone’s heart. She’s interested in Canadian Eric, Weston, Dylan and possibly Kyra, whom she made out with for 10 seconds during a game of beer pong football that didn’t include beer or ping pong balls. Your boy Yamen may never recover.

WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH KYRA?
Sorry Canadian Eric, you’re too nice for Kyra with all your checking on her and taking away her dirty dishes and stealing motorcycles but also crying at commercials with golden retrievers. Who needs it, right ladies? Kyra (aka Zoë Kravitz) spent the first half of the episode breaking up with Canadian Eric, the second half of the episode whistling at Emily, and the final few seconds blowing our minds by making a play for Weston. We can’t figure out if they would be the worst couple or the best couple. Leaning towards “best” for a day and then “worst” after that.
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH WESTON?
Katrina and Kelsey’s verbal diarrhea of compliments for Weston have the cowboy feeling himself, so much so that everything he said he loved about Kelsey are now the things that are boring him. Weston wants to make a play for shiny new Islander Emily because she’s “wild.” It seems these people keep forgetting the girl’s going to LAW SCHOOL. There will be no adventures, unless it’s making a coffee run at 2 a.m. No one is thinking long term on this show. It’s as if they’re not basing any of their decisions in reality (*feigns shock*).
WHO WE’RE SHIPPING
Kyra dropped Cashel and Canadian Eric; Weston dropped Mallory, Katrina and Kelsey; so we’re hoping that Canadian Eric comes out victorious in the quest for Emily’s heart.
Elizabeth farting in front of Zac and feeling no shame may be the closest thing we get to a female empowerment moment in the villa.
