If you’ve ever caught yourself wondering, “Hmmmmm, how long would my nails grow if I didn’t cut them for the next three years,” your curiosity ends here. Because this German-based teen has personally done the research for you.

Simone Christina, 16, hasn’t cut her fingernails in over three years. THREE YEARS! We’ve never gone three years without trimming our hair, let alone our nails. That’s one dedicated teen.

As you probably guessed, Simone’s six-inch long nails are more of a nuisance than anything.

The teen admits she has had to quit playing sports, and also isn’t able to write. We’re going to go ahead and guess she’s really, really slow to respond to text messages, too. Or maybe she sticks to voice memos when she needs to chat with her pals.

“Siri, can you tie my shoes, please?”

Clearly, Simone doesn’t wear contact lenses either.

We have so many questions, like, do they hurt when they’re this long (because they look painful)? Also: Who takes Simone’s notes at school? How does she write tests? And will airport security let her through with these tiny weapons attached to her fingers?

What we do love about Simone’s wickedly long nails is her polish colour choice (that and the gumption she’s displayed in keeping them growing). The way she chooses to paint and decorate her nails is really quite pretty. Oh, but they take THREE hours to paint, she told The Sun in an interview.

“Life’s too short not to have long nails,” her Instagram profile says. We agree…sort of. But we also need to be able to type (quickly) in order to make a living. So we’ll stick with our almond-shaped mani instead.

In case you you were wondering (how couldn’t you), the teen’s toenails are not 6-inches. But they are long. Longer than average. And much longer than our own. Behold!

While we wholeheartedly applaud Simone’s dedication, we just can’t get passed the goosebumps these long pointers send down our spines.

There are some things in life we wish we could unsee. Like that lady who can squirt milk from her tear ducts, or the trailer for the new It flick. Also: this young woman’s ultra long nails.
