Grab your pair of (knockoff) Manolo Blahnik’s and pour yourself a Cosmopolitan – there may be more Sex and the City in our future. In the words of the great Samantha Jones, “Yes, yes, yes!”

Rumors of an additional installment in the franchise have been circulating since the second and unfortunately disastrous Sex in the City film hit the big screen in 2010, with many fans hoping a third film or TV reboot would get rid of the second film’s bad taste and return the series to the glory of its six seasons and first film.

Now it looks like we may actually be getting somewhere thanks to somewhat of a confirmation from Wendy Williams. During her show last Friday, Williams confirmed that SATC actor Kim Cattrall has been in talks with HBO, the network that aired Sex and the City, discussing a possible spinoff series for her character Samantha Jones.

The daytime talk show host shared her excitement over the news, saying she’s ready to see a 60-year-old woman who is sexually active on TV. So are we Wendy, so are we.

Cattrall responded to Williams video with a few promising tweets, writing “Can’t wait to get back to the serious business of making you all laugh.”

Since the series ended in 2004, Canadian actor Kim Cattrall has stayed in the HBO family, starring in the series Sensitive Skin. Fellow Sex and the City actor Sarah Jessica Parker also recently returned to HBO in the new series Divorce.

For portraying the sexually active, straightforward, hilarious and bold PR businesswoman Samantha Jones, Cattrall earned a Golden Globe Award and two SAG awards. So, are we excited about the possibility of the return of Samantha Jones?
