On Friday’s Love Island  (Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV), we said a tearful goodbye to Cormac and Christen, watched Zac and Elizabeth fall deeper in like, learned how not to kiss with Yamen and dry-heaved our way through the latest challenge. Lessons learned? If you love someone, baby-bird feed them and set them free; if they come back, it’s probably because everyone is sharing a shower.

The twist

The have people voted, and the least compatible couples are Cormac and Caro, and Yamen and Christen. (Love Island viewers smart as heck, y’all.) The public vote took place before Caro poured her heart out to Cormac, and he responded by running to the bathroom. It also took place before Yamen had the best night of his life with Christen and raved about their “tasty” (ew) makeout sesh to the boys; Christen told the girls the encounter was “awkward,” and described—in graphic detail—how Yamen kissed one lip at a time. She also said the kiss was “premature,” which is a word no man wants to hear in bed.

The Islanders had the final decision on who from each couple would stay and who would go home, and they stuck with the OGs, voting to keep Yamen and Caro safe. It was interesting to hear their deliberation: Kyra voiced her displeasure with how Yamen treated Alana, while Weston felt like Caro wasn’t on Love Island for the right reasons and would flirt with anyone—which, if we’re being honest, seems like the exact reason she should be on Love Island. Zac didn’t care either way. Cool, bro.

The decision left everyone but Cormac in tears, who spent his final moments on the Island consoling Caro. Yamen tried to lock things down with Christen post-Love Island, but we don’t think enough time had passed between their kiss and their goodbye for her to make things Facebook official.

Making it official…ish

One couple who are on their way to changing their status? Zac and Elizabeth. Zac told the guys that he wants to make Elizabeth his girlfriend, a decision we’re sure was not at all influenced by her striptease on Thursday night. Zac got thiiiiis close to asking Elizabeth to be his girlfriend but stopped short. COME. ON. ZAC.

The challenge

Friday’s challenge brought so many questions: Are hot dogs and French fries a big menu item in Fiji? Can we get those running desks for our house? Why didn’t the guys get food spit in their mouths? Are we bad people for laughing so hard at the Islanders’ discomfort? And was Weston really sick or did he get tipped off to the day’s activities? Somewhere, Michael the vegan is feeling a little less salty about leaving Love Island.

Kyra and Cashel won the challenge, which was, no doubt, a surprise to Dylan, who said Alexandra had a big mouth that could fit a lot of food. (Focus on his abs, Alexandra. Focus on the abs.) Alexandra shouldn’t be too bummed about her only average-sized mouth, though, since Cashel and Kyra’s prize was nothing. Literally, nothing. Why do we even have a Hideaway?!

The recoupling

A recoupling didn’t take place on Friday night, but we have a feeling one is coming. While Zac and Elizabeth and Dylan and Alexandra are pretty much end game at this point, Kyra is starting to see Cashel more like a friend, which is almost as bad as a premature kisser. Meanwhile, Winston has his sights set on Katrina but, unfortunately, is scoring an A for effort and a C+ for execution. He got an arm cramp from talking?! What?!

That awkward moment

Cormac has spent the past 10 years dating and the best he could do was tell Caro he had to pee? Amateur hour.

The couples

  • Caro (single)
  • Yamen (single)
  • Winston (still single)
  • Cashel and Kyra
  • Dylan and Alexandra
  • Zac and Elizabeth
  • Weston and Katrina

Who we’re shipping

Zac and Elizabeth as long as Zac hurries up and asks Elizabeth to go steady with him. He’s already got the Danny Zuko hair and I think we can all agree that Elizabeth is one of three people in the world who could fit into Sandy’s leather pants. Summer loving happened so fast because more Islanders are arriving everyday and you gotta lock this relationship down, Zac!

Final thoughts

Elizabeth is on her way to becoming the best wingwoman in reality TV history.
