Whether you’re trying to spend some quality time with the family or just trying to beat the summer heat, there’s no shame in staying inside a bit this summer. Not to mention, there’s some amazing TV on the way this month, and the reasons just keep piling up for you to get in your comfy clothes, grab a snack, and get watching!

eTalk‘s very own Traci Melchor stopped by Your Morning to give us the scoop on the hottest new shows that are airing in July – check them out below, and watch the video above to hear more from Traci.

Divorce

Don’t miss it

Returns Monday, July 1 only on CRAVE

Why you should watch

The third season of DIVORCE follows Frances (star and executive producer Sarah Jessica Parker) and her ex-husband, Robert (Thomas Haden Church), as they encounter surprises that spin their post-divorce lives in unexpected directions. Season three comes a full sixteen months after the season two finale, and Liz Tuccillo has taken over as showrunner and executive producer. She previously worked with Parker on Sex and the City where she was an executive story editor and staff writer, so the chemistry is there and we are SO ready.

Veronica Mars

Don’t miss it

Premieres Friday, July 26 only on CRAVE

Why you should watch

Veronica Mars fans (or ‘Marshmallows’, as they call themselves) already know all about this one. The revival, starring Kristen Bell, begins as spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.

Confirmed to return are fan favourites Ken Marino, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Daran Norris, Enrico Colantoni, Ryan Hansen, Francis Capra, and Max Greenfield. The revival also stars new cast members J.K. Simmons, Patton Oswalt, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Clifton Collins Jr., and Izabela Vidovic. WE CAN’T WAIT!!

The Amazing Race Canada

Don’t miss it

Begins Tuesday, July 2 (today) at 9 p.m. ET/PT, on CTV

Why you should watch

The thrilling adventure show is back for a seventh season, and for the first time ever features a team returning from a previous season. Jet and Dave (pictured above) are friends from London, ON who raced into the Top 4 during the first season of The Amazing Race Canada and were eliminated following a tough performance at a Roadblock in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador. There’s no better way to spend the summer than watching the ten teams compete with the hopes of winning the grand prize, and the coveted title of The Amazing Race Canada champions.

Love island

Don’t miss it

Airs weeknights beginning Tuesday, July 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV

Why you should watch

Love Island sees a group of single “Islanders” come together in a stunning villa in a beautiful tropical location. They are on the lookout for romance, but as always, the road to love never runs smoothly, as they must not only choose their partner wisely, but also win the hearts of the public…

The show is best described as what would happen if Big Brother and The Bachelor had a love child and sent it to live with its aunt on Survivor. So, basically, a boat-load of fun that you should enjoy with a fruity, tropical cocktail in hand.

Adams will get involved in a case that will put him toe to toe against former colleagues Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Samantha Wheeler (Katherine Heigl). How will it all end?
