The Queen of Pop got a lesson in Canadian geography while passing through Edmonton on her Rebel Heart Tour last week.

When an enthusiastic fan she had brought up on stage to be honoured as her “unapologetic bitch of the evening” revealed that he was from a city called (get this) Regina, Madonna nearly imploded with laughter. (The joke, you see, is that the name Regina sounds an awful lot like the word “vagina,” and that, as Madonna points out, is quite hilarious indeed—especially if you’re in grade school.)

The video, posted to the Madonna Facebook fan page Drowned Madonna, proves that, despite her declared fondness for the nation, she knows very little about that hunk of land north of America they call Canada.

Block Quote: “You’re from where!?”

The fan, one Trevor Holloway, quickly clarified, “Regina! With an “R,” but it was too late—the soundalike name had seized her funny bone and was shaking violently.

“Everyone comes from somewhere,” consoled the pop star after recovering from the fit. She then gifted the lucky fan with a banana, adding, “it’s not every day you get a banana from Madonna,” before walking backward off stage to wild applause.
