When it comes to style, Madonna isn’t a stranger to the world of fashion. The Material Girl and Queen of Pop herself is not only a trendsetter, but a muse to many designers, like Jean Paul Gaultier and Gucci’s Alessandro Michele. Naturally, her daughter Lourdes Leon was bound to follow in her fashion footsteps, walking the runway at New York Fashion Week for the label Gypsy Sport.

Stepping out in a chained bra adorned with seashells and green feathers in her bleached hair, Leon made quite the statement.

Completing the look were tiny sunglasses perched perfectly on her nose, shredded loose jeans and white sneakers. It was a look made for the catwalk. And according to Vogue, it was the 21-year-old herself who approached the brand, asking designer Rio Uribe if she could walk the show. We’re guessing he was all for it.

Leon wasn’t the only famous child working the NYFW stage. Kaia Gerber (A.K.A. Cindy Crawford‘s daughter), also walked shows at Proenza Schouler, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren and more. Kaia, at only 17, is already a seasoned pro and has been modelling since she was 10 years old. Her first gig was with Versace’s junior line, Young Versace.

We can’t say we don’t love seeing the next generation of fashionistas come into their own, just like their mothers before them. Plus, when you’ve got those genetics, you might as well flaunt it.
