Move over, Chippendales and Thunder From Down Under — there’s a new show in town and it’s about to make all the ladies (and some gents) spend ridiculous amounts of money.
That’s right. Joining the likes of these male-themed strip shows in Las Vegas will soon be Magic Mike: Live, a show based on the popular movies starring Channing Tatum and a bunch of other ripped men as they prance around on stage with upbeat moves and take their clothes off.
And here you thought female strip clubs were solely where it’s at.
Tatum made the announcement live on his Facebook page, in a video filled with topless men. “3D hasn’t been cool since Avatar,” he muses, trying to explain his thought process on how to top the Magic Mike XXL sequel.
“What if we created a world where women were given the same options as men have been given for centuries. And then my brain morphed into Kevin Costner from Field of Dreams. And you know what he said? ‘If you build it, they will come. Spelt c-u-m.’ Nope, it’s spelt c-o-m-e. Be classy,” he continues.
Sure enough, he’s planning to “build it,” so to speak. The show that is!
It’s all coming to the Hard Rock (appropriate) beginning March 2017. That means we all have less than a year to plot out a trip to Vegas and get ourselves some tickets for opening night.
“God knows we have enough gentlemen’s clubs in this world, so let’s start the first gentle-ladies club,” he puns, all while holding a puppy.
Yes, it’s ridiculous. And we kind of love him for embracing it.
Now excuse us while we go look up flights.
