Prabjote Lakhanpal has spent most of his teenage years wishing that one day, he would become the leader of Canada.

Unfortunately, however, his thoughts shifted to something more urgent after he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma–which is essentially a cancer of the immune system. But the diagnosis also left him eligible to become a Make-A-Wish recipient, and Lakhanpal wasted no time telling organizers exactly what he wanted: the top job on Parliament Hill.

The organization immediately got to work, teaming up with staff at Parliament and a host of other people and organizations to make the teen prime minister for one whole day. He was already flown in to Ottawa from Toronto, where he will be staying at the Presidential Suite at the Chateau Laurier (complete with a formal prime minister’s welcome). But he finally arrived at Parliament Hill today, where he has already been taking on some of his new public duties.

Here he is hanging out with Governor General David Johnston:

He was also sworn in as a Senate Page:

Obviously, he doesn’t go anywhere without the official PM Protection Detail:

Or a plane ticket for first-class seating:

Of course, he also talked policy with Justin Trudeau himself:

We think it’s safe to say that this is one prime minister every Canadian can get behind. Congratulations, Lakhanpal!
