You’ve probably tried — or at least thought about trying — a lot of different diets. Whether it be cutting out fatty foods or sticking to salad for days at a time, dieting is a bittersweet reality for a lot of people.
A man from Washington is out to prove that you can stay slim no matter what you’re eating. Devon Cunningham vowed to eat Chipotle every day for an entire year starting last July, and somehow, he’s managed to maintain his impeccable health. Right now, he’s made up of 9 per cent body fat and weighs 146 pounds.
“I want to show people that they can be fit while still enjoying the food they love. When you enjoy what you eat on your “diet” and you do it in moderation, it is that much easier to achieve your fitness goals,” Cunningham said. So maybe staying healthy is a lot more simple than we previously thought.
Since his Chipotle diet proved to be successful (which is the opposite of what we all expected), portion control and exercise are suddenly a lot more important than the actual foods you’re eating. We’re not saying that you should eat nothing but foods high in sugar, fat and cholesterol, but we are saying that there might be a little wiggle room in your diet while keeping up your overall health.
And Cunningham isn’t some kind of sick scammer making up this bizarre diet. In fact, he uploads pictures of his Chipotle receipts on his Instagram page just to show you this is the real deal. He even drove all the way to Canada (not once, but twice) to get Chipotle and stock up his fridge during the E coli scare. We can’t say this guy isn’t dedicated.
