It was a year ago that Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith tied the knot in a gorgeous wedding in the actress' backyard. And in honour of their anniversary, Moore took to Instagram to share just how much Goldsmith and that special day mean to her."A year ago I married my favorite person in the world and I still pinch myself over whatever magic brought us into each other's lives," read her caption, alongside a series of beautiful photos from their wedding day. "You continue to set the bar high for the rest of the world (as a partner, brother, son, bandmate, friend, etc) and I am the luckiest for knowing, loving and being loved by you. Happy Anniversary, @taylordawesgoldsmith. Can't wait for all the years to come...." She sealed the post with a bunch of heart emojis, because it's all about the love here, people.
While Taylor's post dedicated to Mandy was equally adoring, the photo he picked was much more candid, to say the least. Goldsmith explained exactly why he chose that particular pic, wanting to show him and Moore in their regular, everyday life, with him squinting awkwardly while trailing his stunning better half. And if we didn't before, we now totally get why Moore is so head over heels. "So I'm the luckiest human on the planet," he wrote. "My wife happens to be the strongest, greatest, kindest, wisest (that one should be doubly emphasized), most graceful human I've ever met...while I bumble around trying to keep up (I felt like this picture best captured our individual essences). And today marks our first full year as a married couple. It's felt like the snap of the fingers, but it also felt like life didn't even begin til I met her. I love you so much @mandymooremm. Happy anniversary." We're not crying, you're crying. We kid. WE'RE ALL CRYING.
Naturally Mandy commented on the sweet post, and her response couldn't be more Rebecca Pearson-like: "Hahahah. There's no one I'd rather run errands with, babe." With four more heart emojis, naturally. The past year of married life hasn't been without its hiccups. The New York Times published an exposé on Moore's ex-husband, Ryan Adams, and the This Is Us star was one of seven women who detailed the abuse she endured throughout their time together, revealing how her career suffered because of him. "I knew that this wasn't the person I was supposed to be with. I knew that I wasn't the person I was meant to be," Mandy said of her time with Adams. And look where she is now. There's This Is Us, of course. Also, earlier in the year, Moore revealed to The Loop just how much she missed her music career — so she did something about it, releasing her first new song in a decade. And she's happily married to the true love of her life. Pretty damn perfect.Moore and Goldsmith got engaged in September 2017 and married 14 months later in an intimate wedding that was pink-themed, right down to her dress.
