Margaret Trudeau is a Canadian icon, bestselling author, mental health advocate, and now has her very own one-woman show. Certain Woman of an Age is coming to the Just For Laughs comedy festival September 19th – 22nd, and this riot of a show follows Trudeau’s wild life from the beautiful to tragic moments that shaped her into the person she is today. Touching on her battles with mental health, she manages to input humour into every situation, even confessing that being former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau’s wife prepared her for the psychiatric ward. From her “wild” days dancing at Studio 54 to becoming the mother of the current Prime Minister of Canada, Trudeau doesn’t shy away from telling her truth in a way that every generation can enjoy.
Be sure to watch the video above for The Social‘s chat with her, and catch her show Certain Woman of an Age at the Just For Laughs festival this weekend.
