Of all the apologies from celebrity dudes who are facing sexual misconduct allegations, this one might take the cake. Or in this case, cinnamon rolls. Mario Batali, who has been accused of groping and making inappropriate comments, stepped down from his restaurant empire and issued a statement apologizing to the people he has “mistreated and hurt.” Not enough, so he thought he would send out another apology. But this one’s so much worse.

Batali and his orange Crocs apologized once again in his newsletter on Friday but then capped it off with a fan favourite recipe for his Pizza Dough Cinnamon Rolls, “in case you’re searching for a holiday-inspired breakfast.” Good grief.

Talk about a recipe for disaster. Are these apology rolls? What was he thinking? Does he not have an editor? Or maybe he really believes nothing says “sorry for being a pervy creep” like some pastries coated with a sugary glaze. Others were also unforgiving.

Actress-comedian also Whitney Cummings had stuff to say, and we salute her.
