Putting his money where his mouth is
It was just last week that news came out that Michelle Williams got paid 1,500 times less than Mark Wahlberg for the All the Money in the World reshoots. He earned $1.5 million, while she received a per diem of $80 a day. The backlash was huge and soon there were reports explaining why that was (that Mark’s contract allowed for negotiation, while Michelle’s did not, and his scenes with Kevin Spacey‘s replacement, Christopher Plummer, were more extensive to shoot than hers; while other reports suggested a more petty motivation), but it still felt like a punch in the face.
In the wake of all that criticism came something good. Wahlberg donated $1.5 million to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund, which was created to help less privileged women protect themselves from sexual misconduct and the fallout from reporting it.

Wahlberg’s agency, William Morris Endeavor, threw in a $500,000 donation, also in Williams’ name, adding that “The current conversation is a reminder that those of us in a position of influence have a responsibility to challenge inequities, including the gender wage gap. It’s crucial that this conversation continues within our community and we are committed to being part of the solution.”
Michelle responded with a statement of her own, and in it she brought it all back full circle, lauding Anthony Rapp, the actor who first spoke out about Spacey’s alleged sexual misconduct.

I’m very moved by Michelle Williams’ kind words.

It’s a start.
Eliza Dushku reveals she was sexually assaulted while filming True Lies
Eliza Dushku took to Facebook to reveal what happened to her during filming of True Lies. Eliza was just 12 at the time of shooting, and she recounts how the movie’s stunt coordinator, Joel Kramer, lured her into a hotel room and assaulted her. It’s … awful.
The details are chilling, a heartbreaking story of a young girl being targeted by a predator. And not only was she abused, but shortly after he was confronted about it, she was injured on set. But guess that shouldn’t be too surprising since her safety was seemingly the last thing he cared about.
Kramer has since responded, taking on the victim role, saying she had a crush on him at the time, and OMG, is he trying to blame this all on a a 12-year-old girl?? Blech. His agency, WPA, has dropped him and some of Dushku’s True Lies family have come out to support her.
Her on-screen mom, Jamie Lee Curtis, wrote an op-ed, revealing that Eliza told her about it at the time. Sue Booth Forbes, Dushku’s legal guardian on the set, said in a statement the actress was telling the truth, but when she reported it “to a person in authority,” she was met with “blank stares” and “had the sense that I wasn’t telling that person anything they didn’t already know.” Director James Cameron called it a “reckoning of the human race,” not just in Hollywood, and had he had known about it, “there would have been no mercy.” And Tom Arnold applauded Eliza’s bravery and that, of course, he believes her.

We believe you, Eliza.
Aziz Ansari is the latest to be accused of sexual misconduct, ugh
A woman has come out to say that she was coerced into having sex with Aziz Ansari. The Brooklyn photographer chose to remain anonymous, but detailed the experience under the name Grace to Babe.net. She recalled how they met at an Emmys after-party in 2017, they talked about their love of photography, and then they went on a date, which she calls as “the worst night of my life.”
In her account, Grace went on to say that kissing led to other stuff, stuff she wasn’t comfortable doing and gave Aziz cues that she wasn’t interested. At one point, she claims he even said, “It’s only fun if we’re both having fun,” which was comforting to her — until he reportedly did the opposite and she felt pressured to perform oral sex. He wanted to do more, but she eventually put a stop to everything and went home. She followed up with a text message which stated just how “violated” he made her feel.
This is the text Grace* sent Aziz Ansari after their date which left her feeling “violated”. She tells Ansari how uncomfortable he made her feel, saying “you ignored clear non-verbal cues” and “kept going with advances.”

Ansari has since responded to the woman’s claims, saying in a statement, “In September of last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged numbers. We texted back and forth and eventually went on a date. We went out to dinner, and afterwards we ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual. The next day, I got a text from her saying that although ‘it may have seemed OK,’ upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem OK to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.”
He added: “I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue.”
Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson might be the most boring new couple on the planet
Since his marriage to Gwyneth Paltrow came to an end, Chris Martin‘s dating life started off strong, but then kind of fizzled. He was with Jennifer Lawrence for a while, then he moved on to Annabelle Wallis. But now it seems he and Dakota Johnson are a thing and if you fell asleep while reading that, we wouldn’t blame you.
According to People, they’ve been together for months and while she was spotted at a Coldplay concert in Argentina back in November, this past Friday night was the first time they were photographed together.
“Chris and Dakota arrived together in Chris’ car,” an eyewitness told the mag. “They met up with friends and had a fun night. They both seemed very happy. They were flirty, and also left the restaurant together.”
Hmm, wonder what Gwyneth thinks of her.

Kim Kardashian can’t stop posting pics of her jewelry on Instagram, despite her “no jewelry” rule
After Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris in 2016, which happened shortly after she posted a pic of her $4 million diamond engagement ring, she vowed to be less flashy with her stuff. But it’s been over a year. Now, it seems, she’s back to flaunting her expensive possessions. Because, if you’ve got it, don’t hide it?
Kim posted a selfie on Sunday, showing off a shiny new grill and all kinds of necklaces from what appear to be from Kanye’s jewelry collection.
Aw, Kim. You do you.
