Matt Damon just showed some love for his kids in a very permanent way. The actor recently visited celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Stone (a.k.a. Winter Stone) and had the names of his four daughters tattooed onto his upper right arm. If Jason Bourne had tattooed a few names on himself to begin with we never would have had a second movie.
The tattoo artist showing off his handiwork on social media and it appears Damon visited Winter Stone this month. Matt added his daughter’s names in delicate cursive, including Alexia, Isabella, Gia and Stella. The four names join Damon’s pre-existing ‘Lucy’ tattoo, which was done in honour of his wife Luciana. Damon’s ink was displayed on Instagram by Winter Stone, who captioned the photo “FOR HIS KIDS #alexia #isabella #gia #stella Honor tattooing one of my favorite actors! #MATTDAMON.”

There’s a lot that we love about Damon tattooing his daughter’s names. One, it’s not a tattoo he’ll likely ever regret. Two, it shows how involved a father Damon is, as the actor obvious views his stepdaughter Alexia as his own child. And three, a small and tasteful tribute tattoo is a beautiful way to show your kids you love them and express your creative side while still giving you some leverage when your kids decide they want some permanent ink. Remember, Dad got a small tattoo of your name, not a whole sleeve of your face (love you, Mr. Teigen!).
Matt Damon is the latest celeb to get inked by Winter Stone. The famous tattoo artist has previously worked with Demi Lovato, Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas, and even Chrissy Teigen (again, a very small tattoo).
Damon’s wife Luciana is also a fan of tribute tattoos. After the couple became friends with actors Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, the women got matching tattoos to cement their bond. Appearing on the cover of People Magazine in January 2018, Pataky told the magazine that the families had recently become very close. The two women especially formed a fast friendship, thanks to their shared language (both women speak Spanish) and understanding of what it’s like to be a mom in a large family (Hemsworth and Pataky have three children).
“The [Damons] came here for Christmas and we were all together and it was a really inspirational time,” Pataky told People. “We created a lot of things and a lot of ideas. A few friends, we got together and we felt like we had to have something to remind us of those great moments we stayed together, and we decided to get a little tattoo [of three dots on their pinkies] all together and we say ‘We’ll have to do one every year.’”
Maybe Luciana already has a tattoo for Matt or maybe she plans on getting one in the future, but right now it’s all about the ladies.
