Tulane University graduates, friends and family were in for a treat when Maya Rudolph inspired the graduating class with a rousing speech. Sure, there were words of advice and lots of laughs but it was when Rudolph busted out her Beyoncé impression that things started getting good.
“I love you Class of 2015,” she shared. “Now would you all please rise for the National Anthem.” And then proceeded to tackle the “Star-Spangled Banner” in the best four minutes of your day.
Now go run the world, grads!
Blair Waldorf is having Seth Cohen’s baby
Thanks to Josh Schwartz, creator of The O.C. and Gossip Girl, two of our favourite characters from his former series have found one another. And not only are they married but they are expecting their first child. Adam Brody and Leighton Meester were out for lunch and while the two are normally quite private, she figured she was the past the point of hiding her baby bump and let it out for all to see. Congrats to the adorable parents-to-be!
Lindsay Lohan will flee to Monaco to “avoid jail”
Oh, LiLo, when will she ever learn? *crickets*
All La Lohan has to do is wrap up her court-ordered community service by May 28 at the Brooklyn Community Center and all will be well. But she can’t even do that. Or at least she doesn’t think she can. And she already has an escape plan ready.
According to TMZ, LiLo has a “very rich friend” who “has a hotel in Monaco and has given her carte blanche to stay indefinitely.” And she’s totally taking him up on his offer if she can’t complete her community service on time. But it’s like she’s completely in denial that she actually has to put in the work.
The L.A. court said she has one last chance to complete her hours or she’ll go to jail. So girlfriend plans to flee to Monaco where she “vows to become a fugitive from justice.” She can’t be extradited for her misdemeanour so Linds may become Monaco’s newest unofficial citizen. Sorry, Monaco!
It’s soccer season for the Jolie-Pitt family
A black suit might not be the most suitable outfit for watching your kids’ soccer game but this is no ordinary soccer mom. Angelina Jolie brought along Knox and Pax to cheer on sisters Shiloh and Zahara as they bended it like Beckham. No word on which team won, not that Angie cares. As long as her kids were having fun, we’re sure she’s cool with whatever the outcome was.
All About Bruce
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians two-part special centering on Bruce Jenner coming out as transgender to his family aired on Sunday and Monday and E! did a pretty wonderful job with everything. Say what you want about the fame-loving K klan but they have handled this all like champs. All in different, somewhat rehearsed ways but champs nonetheless.
Khloe took Bruce’s transition the hardest, Kris earned our sympathy as she struggled to believe that her husband of 22 years wasn’t who she thought he was and Kim was amazingly supportive and understanding throughout. There was a lot of drama and a ton of tears and it made for two hours of great television, just how they like it. But it was also an informative, groundbreaking, necessary story that needed to be told so a win-win for all.
