All eyes were on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Thursday night as they suited up in style and braved the rain to attend the annual Endeavor Fund Awards in London.
Markle abandoned a typical evening dress, opting for a modern, well-tailored Alexander McQueen suit. The grain de poudre wool blazer and trousers are available on Net-a-Porter for a cool £1,820 (or $2,785 USD).
The former actress, 36, paired the suit with an ivory silk crepe bodysuit by Tuxe, towering black Manolo Blahnik pumps and a Prada clutch, as reported by The Telegraph.
The Endeavor Awards celebrate service men and women who have combatted their physical and psychological injuries through outdoor, adventure challenges. They took place at historic Goldsmiths’ Hall and Meghan presented the second honour of the night, the Celebrating Excellence Award to the incredible Daniel Claricoates who climbed the highest mountains in Africa and Antarctica. Claricoates has a complex form of PTSD after several tours in Afghanistan.
“I am truly honoured to be here,” Markle said.
Prince Harry, who also presented three awards, offered his sincere appreciation for the recipients, saying, “I am fortunate enough to meet many of those who take part in the endeavours that we support and I am continually amazed by the tenacity, fortitude and unshakable humour displayed by the men and women who sign up to run races, cross oceans, climb mountains or take on challenges few would even contemplate.”
The awards are supported by The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, to which Meghan will add her name following her May 19th nuptials.
Prince Harry is a well-known advocate for veterans, creating and supporting the Invictus games. The couple made their public debut at the Games during a tennis match in Toronto in September of last year.
