Perhaps you don’t watch Suits (Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo). Or maybe curiosity got the best of you and you’re catching up now that Meghan Markle is a household name. Of course, there are those of you who’ve been fans from the start and swear it’s the best show ever. Well, for the ones who are unfamiliar, there’s still a part of you that must be a little interested to see what Meghan will look like in a wedding dress. So leave it to Suits to give you a little preview.
We might be counting down the days until the royal wedding but, for now, we’ll just have to make do with Markle’s other marriage: the fictional one, that is. On the Season 7 finale, which aired Wednesday night on Bravo, Markle’s character, Rachel, finally got married to Mike (Patrick J. Adams).
While their wedding was scheduled for a few months down the road, a new opportunity in a new city found the couple pondering how they could tie the knot quickly with their friends around them — so leave it to Donna (Sarah Rafferty) to make it happen. Because it’s not enough that Markle has one fantastic ginger in her life.
So, yes, it was a happily ever after for Mike and Rachel, mere weeks before Meghan’s fairy tale wedding to Prince Harry. Sure, the Suits love story was longer and twistier than Harry and Meghan’s more efficient rollout, Rachel’s wedding dress was far more sleek and glam than Megs’ will likely be, she won’t be walking down the aisle to John Legend‘s “All Of Me” (unless the 35-person choir, the gospel group or that prodigy cellist perform it), and that ballroom in which they had their reception can’t hold a candle to Windsor Castle, but that’s OK.
It’s really all about the love, and Rachel and Mike — and Meghan and Harry — deserve nothing but the best. Farewell to Mike and Rachel, who are going to kill it in Seattle. Harry and Meghan, however, their love story’s just beginning. We can’t wait to see it unfold.
