The royal wedding captivated tens of millions of people, and if you’re anything like us, the most anticipated part of the morning was the bride’s outfit and her beauty look. Meghan Markle chose a gorgeous gown designed by Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, and the man responsible for her flawless makeup was Daniel Martin.

The Dior brand ambassador and Markle’s close pal kept it super simple for her big day, letting her gorgeous skin and freckles take centre stage with just a little concealer, a soft smoky eye, a hint of blush and tinted lip balm. In case you missed it, here is the stunning result:

Martin gave one lucky Good Morning America audience member a makeover, and then dished on all his favourite beauty tips. So even if you can’t have Prince Harry, you can at least have the same beauty hacks as the Duchess of Sussex.

1. Multitask with bronzer

Why use two products when you really only need one? Martin points out that bronzer can double as shimmery, metallic eyeshadow. Anything to simplify our summer beauty routine, and jump on that monochromatic makeup trend.

2. Mascara as eyeliner

Grab a liquid eyeliner brush, dip it into your mascara tube, and the formula will double as a liquid gel eyeliner. This is another way to cut down on your products, which is especially helpful if you’re traveling this summer.

3. DIY blush

Glowing skin is one of Markle’s defining beauty features, and a great way to mimic it is with a little homemade Vaseline-based blush. Martin suggests mixing it with your favourite matte lipstick to create the perfect dewy flush.

4. Treat a pimple overnight

Nothing can ruin your whole day quite like a surprise zit. But if you catch it coming on the night before, Martin has a solution. Combine one part salicylic acid, one part cortisone gel and one part benzoyl peroxide, and apply the mixture to the spot to reduce redness and swelling while you sleep.

5. Get a faux summer glow

Your skin can glow without exposing it to harmful UV rays. Martin’s favourite trick is mixing a loose, shimmery powder with aloe gel or Argan oil and applying it all over for radiant skin.
