Let us start off by saying that we were raised right and are well-aware that it’s not nice to laugh at anyone. But there’s something glorious and undeniable about a person after they’ve had their wisdom teeth pulled out. That post-procedure anesthesia patients are given are the gifts that keep on giving. Just ask Meghan Trainor.

The “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” singer chronicled a recent trip to the dentist and shared with fans the aftermath of what she was like after all her wisdom teeth were taken out. And while we definitely feel her pain, it’s almost impossible to contain the laughter dying to escape our own cotton-free mouths because Meghan was all about that laughing gas. And it was amazing.

Trainor took to Instagram, to share a photo of herself in between her manager, Tommy Bruce, and husband Daryl Sabara as she clung to both men for dear life as they made their way out of her appointment. But that wasn’t all. She blessed us with four spectacular videos that were a mere taste of what life with a high Meghan would be like, from post-removal to the car ride home. Her caption also revealed that she got a not-so-nice surprise upon arriving at the dentist’s office, something no patient wants to hear, especially when they’ve been gearing up for so much less. “I was initially going to just take one wisdom tooth out,” she wrote. “The dentist said they all had to go. Wasn’t emotionally or mentally prepared but sure got some great content.” She explained that her second, near-incoherent video was her talking about her love for Bruce, before thanking her dentist and her family for taking care of her. Oh, and let’s just get this out of the way now. “Great content” is an understatement.

Meghan broke down, telling Tommy how much she loves him but eventually pulled herself together. “I can’t cry, it hurts, but I love you so much. You do so much for me and I love you forever. I miss you.”

Meghan, however, was back to her old self soon enough, singing and car-dancing like a champ as they made their way home. Honestly? Not sure what’s best about all of this: the headwrap, her mouth stuffed with cotton, or her furry blue slides that must’ve made the whole thing a little more comfortable for the singer.

Trainor’s videos rival that time Taylor Swift had laser eye surgery, and had a bit of a meltdown with her mom — over a banana. Though Simone Biles might outrank both Meghan’s and Taylor’s post-op situations, as she came out of her surgery in comedic gold form.
