Melania Trump has made a name for herself as the First Lady, but never in a way that someone would want to be remembered. From her oddly titled initiatives, to fighting online bullying while being married to a real-life bully, to refusing to hold her husband’s hand in public (that one we can actually understand), the FLOTUS rarely makes headlines for good news. That includes her fashion. Melania’s most recent head turner is courtesy of a pair of pants that make her look…naked. Who are her advisors and where the heck are they?
Melania was photographed with her husband arriving on the South Lawn of the White House on Thursday after returning from an unannounced trip to visit American troops stationed in Iraq. The First Lady made for a shocking visual when she emerged wearing tan pants that created the illusion that she was naked from the waist down. If this was a ploy to distract people from her husband’s disastrous visit with the troops, it almost worked. Almost.
FLOTUS’ naked pants were accessorized by her dark sunglasses, which she wore at night. What is going on with this outfit?
Hey, Melania, read the sign:
no pants, no shoes, no service.#NopantsNoshoesNoservice

Had to be a body double. She’s holding his hand. https://t.co/LbasUE4i3D

I’m personally more confused by her soul. https://t.co/mSUMjW50Yc

I thought Melania had excessive spray tan on some seriously wrinkled knees with a too short dress then I realized those are just ugly skinny pants.

Trump’s naked pants are the latest in a long list of fashion flops. Melania was criticized for wearing a white pith helmet while on safari in Kenya, a hat that has for decades been a symbol of colonialism and oppression. Then there was the time she wore stilettos to visit disaster victims who had been affected by Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
Of course, her most famous fashion faux pas came in June, when Trump wore a green jacket with the words “I really don’t care. Do U?” written on the back. That one was pretty tone-deaf.
At least this week’s pants just make her look naked.
