Nothing makes our day better or happier than waking up (or, depending on your bedtime, going to sleep) to a brand-new “Carpool Karaoke.” The passenger last night was a little different than those who’ve ridden shotgun (or backseat) in James Corden‘s SUV in months past, though. Most guests come with their own latest release to belt out with the host, but what happens when the guest isn’t a singer? What do you sing? More importantly, what do you sing when that guest happens to be First Lady Michelle Obama? Why, her favourite songs, naturally.

“I rarely get to listen to music in the car,” the First Lady admitted. “I’ve been in a car, maybe it was months ago, with my daughter who learned how to drive. That was the only time in seven and a half years that I’ve been in the passenger seat listening to music and rocking out like this.”

Singing along to her ‘favourite,’ Stevie Wonder‘s ‘Signed Sealed Delivered,’ then easily moving into Beyoncé‘s ‘Single Ladies’ — complete with choreography — Obama showed just how versatile her music tastes are, and just how much we will miss her as FLOTUS.

Easily the most memorable moment of the night was when Missy Elliott popped up in the back seat to rap along to the all-star girl power anthem, “This Is for My Girls.” Obviously, because you know that wasn’t going to be it. You KNOW Corden wasn’t going to let either out of the car until they got their freak on. Holla!
