Michelle Obama is the epitome of beauty. Well-spoken, ambitious, elegant, intelligent, refined, empowering are just some of the adjectives we’d use to describe the First Lady of the United States.
After eight years of this powerful, high-stress and very public career (advocating LGBT rights, encouraging national service, fighting childhood obesity, promoting the arts, championing international adolescent girls education, partying with Beyoncé…), why is it that Michelle has neglected to age?
And although her makeup artist Carl Ray has previously revealed that to Elle that Michelle gets her glow from eating right, exercising, and a lot of water—there’s one product in her skincare arsenal that definitely piqued our interest. One that was recommended by a certain Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
Biotulin Supreme Skin Gel, $72, is a fragrance-free organic gel developed by a team of scientists. According to the Biotulin website, the product contains Spilanthol (a local anaesthetic that apparently reduces muscle contractions and reduces fine lines), Imperata cylindrica (an extract that supplies the skin with moisture) and Hyaluron (which maintains the skin’s fullness).
Biotulin will apparently give you visibly firmer skin in only 60 minutes, with the effects lasting 24 hours. Continued use is said to also reduce the depth and length of wrinkles. While little is known about when the recommendation to Michelle was made (we can only imagine what their private dinners are like), we’re definitely happy the secret to flawless looking skin has been revealed.
If this magic mix of ingredients is good enough for the First Lady and HRH Duchess of Cambridge, it’s good enough for us.
