In case you haven’t noticed, the virtual world is a rough place right now. As many of us remain cooped up in the comfort of our own (probably 500 square foot or less) home, our favourite celebrities, personalities, and trainers on social media are cooking up ways to stay connected—from afar. Are we living in a Black Mirror episode? Hard to say, but we also aren’t hating the frequent live-stream hangs with the likes of John Legend, Keith Urban and now, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato.Cyrus took to her Instagram Story (because really, how does anyone else communicate these days?) on Tuesday to reveal that she will be doing a daily Instagram Live series where she and special guests discuss ‘how to bring light to a dark time’. So far, guests have included her therapist, celebrity doctor Dr. Daniel Amen, and now, none other than our girl, Demi Lovato. The series is officially named Bright Minded: Live With Miley and, given the current news cycle, we could definitely all use a little positivity. While announcing Lovato’s plans to join her on the show, Cyrus told fans, "One of the most inspiring women that I have the honour of calling a friend for the last probably fifteen years has made herself available to be on my Insta-Live show Monday at 11:30 AM PT which is going to be happening Monday through Friday.”[video_embed id='1922670']RELATED: How celebs are dealing with COVID-19.[/video_embed]So, what did the former Disney stars discuss? Well, a lot of things—but primarily, mental strength, optimism, body shaming, and helpful exercises they use to be "bright minded." Touching on how they’re dealing with self-quarantine and social distancing (#relatable), each star detailed what they use for self-care, and what habits they’ve developed during this time of self isolation. Both singers included Headspace and Calm in their list of go-to meditation apps, and also credited time with their pets as a silver lining. Lovato explained that, ”Even in this dark time, people are gonna try to find the silver lining of this negative experience, which may be spending a lot of time with their dogs.” The long-time friends also noted how nice it’s been to reconnect with friends, like each other, that they don’t get to see often. Same here, ladies—minus the unbelievable levels of fame, of course. And while Lovato is winning hearts via Instagram Live, her latest single is also topping the charts. “I Love Me” recently debuted as No.18 on the Billboard Hot 100 as the week's top-selling song, and fans are eagerly awaiting her as-yet-untitled album that she’s teased on social media.Wednesday's episode of Bright Minded has lined up Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer, and Lauren and Cameron from Love Is Blind.[video_embed id='1923299']BEFORE YOU GO: Harry Styles charms during Tiny Desk concert.[/video_embed]
