Miley Cyrus may have already moved on with Cody Simpson

Miley Cyrus can't be tamed — and that's OK. The singer, who has been single for about two weeks, may have already found a replacement for Kaitlynn Carter: her longtime friend, Cody Simpson. Or maybe it's nothing and it was just two mates hanging out...and kissing.TMZ is reporting that Miley and Cody are "kicking their relationship up a notch," and based on the video the gossip site obtained, it's admittedly more than chummy. Even though the video only lasts a few seconds, there's no denying it: this is definitely more than mere affection for a pal. Because no friend looks at another friend like that and thinks purely platonic thoughts.It all took place at a Backyard Bowls in Los Angeles on Thursday. Sources told TMZ that Cyrus and the Australian singer were in the middle of a "pretty serious conversation before Miley moved over to sit on his lap, and before long their PDA escalated to a make-out session." E! News is also reporting the two were at a grocery store to grab some food and drinks, and according to their eyewitness, Miley and Cody shared a "quick kiss" while looking around. But once their identities were uncovered and people were starting to notice them, Simpson "tried to rush out of there." It's not the first time the two have been linked. In 2014 there were rumours they were dating, but Miley was actually dating their mutual friend Patrick Schwarzenegger. Keep in mind, during that time Cyrus and soon-to-be-ex-husband Liam Hemsworth were on a break, as were Simpson and his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Gigi Hadid.

The following year, Miley and Liam got back together. Cody and Gigi reunited as well but were done by May 2015. Of his split from Hadid, Cody told DuJour, "I love my ex-girlfriend, I always will. It was an amicable, mutual decision, and we still talk every now and then, but the highly publicized thing made me uncomfortable. Going out to dinner and there being all this paparazzi and stuff ... as soon as we split I had the realization that I was straying away from who I was as a whole person. I want to keep it low-key and focus on my music."Simpson must've changed his tune in the last four years because if he was hoping for any sort of privacy with Cyrus, he might want to think again. She is totally fine putting it all out there — on her own terms — which is totally fine by us.Later in 2015, Cody was featured in GQ Australia where he spoke about his friendship with Miley, and how she is one of his best friends who "helps with some of that transitional stuff – trying to escape your childhood. She's super open-minded and I'm working on becoming more like that."And now it looks like they're working on something together. They're young, they're pretty, they're having fun. And if it takes a few years and a couple of other relationships for two friends to realize they're actually more than friends, ain't nothing wrong with that.
