Spring means a lot of things but one of our favourites is NEW MUSIC. All our faves are out here trying to drop the “Song of the Summer” and in that pursuit, we got new material from not one, not two, but THREE of the biggest ladies in music plus more. Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Cardi B all dropped songs Friday with Miley over-achieving to the max and dropping a six-song EP. Not only that, Camila Cabello, Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha all dropped new singles too. Sounds like the epic start to our weekend playlist!

Miley’s highly-anticipated She is Coming record includes the already-fan-favourite “Mother’s Daughter” as well as collabs with the likes of Ghostface Killah and RuPaul (which we totally could have predicted when Miley, who’s a huge Drag Race fan, appeared on the show). Judging by videos Miley’s posted to hype up the music, a video drop seems imminent, but it looks like she’s keeping us in suspense for a little bit longer. Meanwhile, the Smilers—who were basically in love with the EP before it even dropped—are freaking out.

Miley confirmed that She is Coming is “part one” of a full album called She is Miley Cyrus (which sounds a lot like Meet Miley Cyrus from the second disc of the Hannah Montana 2 album, but we digress) which will be released in three parts. The second EP will be She is Here, the third will be She is Everything and each release will include six songs.

Now, six songs from Miley is great, but it doesn’t constitute an entire playlist. Enter Miss Katy Perry with “Never Really Over,” her first big single since 2017’s “Swish, Swish” and Cardi B with “Press.” Katy and Cardi also shouted out all the other ladies who are DOMINATING the charts this week. We love when women support women!

That would be a fire Friday on its own but then Camila, Charli and Bebe were like, “Hold my beer.” Camila dropped “Find U Again” with Mark Ronson; Charli XCX hit us with “Spicy” (which samples the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe’) featuring Diplo and Herve Pagez; and Bebe Rexha shared “Call You Mine.”

Looks like we have the soundtrack to our weekend all set. Happy listening!
