Mindy Kaling’s fire Oscars style is all thanks to Canadian stylist Jessica Mulroney

Of course, fabulous writer-actress-producer-comedian-author-supermom Mindy Kaling would enlist the likes of another incredible multi-hyphenate to dress her for Hollywood’s biggest night. Stylist-TV-host-supermom Jessica Mulroney has been styling Mindy since last year and is also the fashionable mind behind Kaling’s latest Oscars look.Mindy stepped out to present at the 92nd Oscars Sunday in elegant marigold Dolce & Gabbana and couldn't help but gush all about Jessica to her husband/etalk host Ben Mulroney on the red carpet."His brilliant, genius wife, Jessica Mulroney, is staying with me and got me ready," she told etalk. "This night is all about elegance and there are a lot of nice adjectives you can use about me but 'elegant' I don't think is always the thing. Approachable! Fun!—that's kinda more my vibe, so I wanted to do something really elegant."

Jessica has been working sartorial magic in Mindy’s closet with vibrant offerings from designers like Oscar de la Renta (a Mindy fave), Jimmy Choo and Ralph Lauren since mid-2019. Better yet, Mulroney highlights Canadian designers when she gets the chance, like early-on in their collaboration when she convinced Mindy that not only could she rock a suit, she should rock a Canadian suit.Back in June, Mindy posted one of her now-signature closet OOTD shots wearing an artfully tailored navy suit by up-and-coming Canadian brand Landscape. She captioned on Instagram: “The magical [Jessica Mulroney] wrote me and said she could ‘picture me in a suit.’ I did not believe her but here I am, obsessed.”Honestly, we are too.
