There’s a special kind of stress reserved for finding the perfect prom dress. So Violina Ancheva, A.K.A. Miss Bulgaria, saved one lucky student from the search by giving her a pageant worthy dream gown — the one Ancheva wore to compete in the Miss Universe contest.

After competing in the 65th Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines and not winning, Ancheva couldn’t say goodbye before making a substantial donation.

She turned to Facebook on January 30th to ask her followers in the country to help find one lucky, deserving, prom-dress-seeking young lady to give her Miss Universe gown to.

The post garnered over 13,000 responses, but it was Zhrya Nicole Cifra who ended up being the lucky recipient after her mother, Issay Gallano, sent the contestant a letter explaining she was struggling to put money together for her 15-year-old daughter’s dress.

To make the exchange official, Ancheva organized to pass the evening gown on herself to the student’s mother. She told her “I know how she feels and I’m happy I gave it to you, and your daughter will have the best dress of the evening,” reported CNN Phillipines, who was present for the generous exchange.

Of course, Cifra’s reaction later to seeing the gown was just as heartwarming.

She wore the competition dress — a Sherri Hill two-piece — to her special evening with the class and confidence of its original owner.

After seeing Cifra sport the frock with such grace, Ancheva turned to Facebook again to celebrate the student and her festivities.

We can’t help but think Miss Bulgaria ended up winning in her own way with her sweet donation.
