Most brides wait for a proposal to don the coveted white dress; when a Watters model got her proposal this past weekend, she was already in a wedding gown.

It all went down this past weekend during NYC’s Bridal Fashion Week, the runway show featuring all of the hottest fashions in wedding and bridal wear for the upcoming year.

Perhaps Saturday started as another normal gig for Nicole Kaspar, who was representing Watters in a particularly stunning gown with layers of tulle and beautiful detailing. But when Kaspar took her final bow and went to strut back behind-the-scenes, she was told she had to turn around for more pictures. When she looked back, her boyfriend Chad Stapleton had joined her onstage.

Talk about perfect timing.

“Nicole, I’ve wanted to do this for a long time, and I wanted the moment to be as special as you are to me,” Stapleton said, taking her hands. “And I figured, what better way to do this than on a runway, doing what you love.”

Already the guy gets major points in the romance department, but there’s even more from this Casanova.

“I never really believed in love at first sight, but I have to admit, it was something different the first time I saw you. I felt something inside that I’ve never felt before that I just couldn’t explain,” he continued, reducing Kaspar to tears. “From that moment until now, you’ve made me happier than I ever thought I could be. If you let me, I’ll spend the rest of my life making you feel the same way.”

It was at that point Stapleton got down on one knee and asked the big question, showing up boyfriends everywhere. Seriously, this is what you want a proper proposal to have: romance, the element of surprise and a situation that perfectly encapsulates the essence of the couple in question.

Obviously Kaspar said yes, much to the joy of the crowd. And now the couple can relive the proposal over and over again thanks to the power of social media.

No word on wedding plans just yet, but if the proposal is any indication these two will probably do something equally spectacular go down on their big day.

And if we have any say in it, Watters should probably be offering up a free gown, given how much publicity this proposal has generated.

Ah, the power of love.
