There’s something perfectly parody-able about Adele‘s “Hello” video. From the sepia and the wind, the stunning coat, hair blowing in the wind and the emoting? The material is all there. Just like the moms who transformed “Blank Space” into an anthem and the sleep-deprived dad who slayed “Shut Up and Dance,” singer-songwriter Emily Mills put her own twist on Adele’s hit song.G
Hello, it’s me.
I would love to grab a glass of wine and maybe some cheese
But I got kids I have to feed
I got one in volleyball and one who’s coming home with Ds
Why can’t she get this, fraction business
I can’t take it anymore…
Though it is a little disappointing that Mills — who, at times, looks like Adele — uses a smartphone in her video, perhaps she was inspired by the flip phone the singer sports in the original vid. All moms can relate to giving to, and thinking of, everyone around them first and what they want comes last, if at all — including the latest technology.
Now let’s get Mills some wine. Or a couple bottles — stat!
‘Cause we know you can never get enough Adele, you can watch CTV’s exclusive presentation of Adele Live in London right here:
