The idea of a “beauty regimen” is so bloody exhausting to wrap your head around, right? Because there are literally one million steps to take if you’re ever going to get skin that is “age-defying,” “wrinkle-free” and “non-porous like a marble kitchen counter-top.” Truth be told, there are serums and creams and potions that work, it’s just that doing the work never really seems like fun. Which is why if you’re gonna put detoxifying crud on your face, turn it into a really good time.
Make it simple, like with a two-ingredient, DIY pore strip. Or, if you really want to have fun, use your face as the gorgeous canvas it is with the latest beauty trend: multi-masking. How it works is totally easy. Take a mask that’s geared toward reducing oily skin (check out: Body Shop’s Tea Tree face mask, $15), and use that on your T-zone and chin. At the same time, use a mask with a more hydrating formula (check out: Glam Glow face mask, $21) for your cheeks and forehead, and throw on some under-eye patches (check out: Patchology under-eye patches, $60) for good measure.
But why is this so popular? Well, it’s because the skin on your face isn’t all the same. There are oily patches and there are dry patches, so using multiple masks helps by spot treating the problem areas. And it totally looks cool, and you’ll probably want to take a selfie and join the #multimasking movement.
