Naomi Campbell taking the trash out like she’s on a runway is a whole mood

You might think that celebrities are going a bit stir-crazy in quarantine with nothing to do, but really, it’s revealing their true natures and we are here for it. James Corden checked in with a slew of celebs Wednesday night during his “Checking In” Late Late Show (weekdays at 12:37 a.m. ET on CTV) bit where he spins a wheel and then peeps into the lives of the rich and famous via hidden camera. This time, the wheel landed on supermodel Naomi Campbell, and we learned just how much she is living her best life. No, she’s not lounging on a tropical beach somewhere—she’s taking out the household trash. Sounds boring and utterly pedestrian? Not if you're Naomi Campbell.Taking a quick peek into her life revealed Naomi (who allegedly turns 50 this month) decked out in all her runway glory, stilettos and all, but with the addition of two bags of garbage, purple disposable gloves and a fitted surgical face mask. Up and down the hallway she strutted as if it were a catwalk, posing at either end. Is that RuPaul we hear in the distance calling out "Sashay, shante"? She's looking like the covergirl of this month’s Hefty Bag Magazine. If that's not the 2020 mood, we don't know what is (we will accept this as the only other option).
To be fair, Naomi, was on the cleanliness wave way before the rest of the world caught on. She caught some flack last year when she posted a video to her YouTube channel of her disinfecting her first-class airplane seat—slipping on surgical gloves, using antibacterial wipes on every centimetre of the chair, then fitting it with a cover and spending the duration of the flight wearing a face mask. “I do not care what people think of me,” she said in the midst of her clean mode. “It’s my health, and it makes me feel better.”She was teased a bit for being a germaphobe, but she's kind of our cleaning queen now, no? Campbell’s got a sense of humour about it though, posting a clip from Mommie Dearest (where Faye Dunaway scrubs the bathroom floor) on her Instagram in March. However, a couple weeks later, we got clips of her in a full hazmat suit at the airport which feels less lighthearted, especially now.[video_embed id='1936070']RELATED: Naomi Campbell sits down for an interview with Cindy Crawford [/video_embed]After Naomi’s garbage-catwalk-strut was over, Corden was in awe. “I love that. That’s how I take out the trash! I just don’t look quite as good when I do it. Well, maybe like 80% as good.” Sure, bud. After spinning the wheel a few more times, he landed on Olivia Munn chopping tomatoes and cracking eggs in her bed; Malin Akerman hiding from her rugrats inside a sofa cushion whilst intermittently taking swigs of white wine, Seth Green trying to conduct a talk show interview with his disinterested cat and Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo sitting on the loo with no toilet paper. Ah, the eternal struggle.Watch The Late Late Show with James Corden weekdays at 12:27 a.m. ET on CTV.[video_embed id='1957807']BEFORE YOU GO: This video shows how easily germs spread at a buffet [/video_embed]
