Waking up early is hard enough. After you accomplish that daunting task, is there a more sinking feeling than entering your local Starbucks in the morning only to see a lineup of 20+ people in front of you? It’s almost not worth it.
You’ll never have to experience that feeling again with Starbucks’ new mobile app, which allows you to order your bevvie or food before you even leave your house. When you go in, your drink will be all ready for you to pick up (the app has a timer feature which lets you know how long you have til your drink is set for pick-up).
The Mobile Order & Pay option has already rolled out across the U.S. and is now available in 300 stores in the Greater Toronto Area. Other Canadian cities will see the service in 2016, but for now, it’s up and running in Toronto, Markham, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Unionville, Vaughan, Etobicoke, Aurora and Thornhill.
So, if you live in one of these cities and own an iPhone (the app is only available on iOS), you’ll be able to order Starbucks on the go, super-simple. There’s even more to order now, too. Starbucks announced yesterday that it’ll begin serving two types of salad bowls — the zesty chicken and black bean bowl, and a hearty veggie and brown rice version. Both salads cost $8.95 and are now available at locations across Canada.
