They’re always dreamy and romantic with a touch of mystery, but this time Chanel added a special twist to their annual Chanel No. 5 commercial. The new face of the iconic perfume, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, shows us that women can, in fact, have it all.
In previous campaigns, the female protagonists are either being chased by their lover or end up losing them after a brief (and steamy) affair, but not this time. This brand new three minute short-film was created to celebrate the 100-year-old perfume. And in it, Bündchen is seen riding double C-shaped waves that resemble the brand’s iconic logo, entertaining her daughter, getting glammed up for a photo shoot and, finally, chasing down the man of her dreams. It’s kind of empowering, don’t you think?
It also doesn’t hurt that the fabulous Gisele gets to share a kiss with love interest Michiel Huisman, star of Game of Thrones and Orphan Black. Swoon. Let’s also not forget that the The Great Gatsby–inspired video showcases Gisele wearing outfits from Chanel’s resort 2015 collection. That plunging swimsuit is to die for. Double swoon.
OK, enough talking. Take a look at the visually aesthetically pleasing film and let us know what you think in the comments below.
