Remember that time it was announced that the new Star Wars trailer was going to be shown in theatres on Friday? And ticket sales went crazy from diehard fans wanting to see it on the big screen asap? In some cases multiple times? Turns out that the new trailer was so, so worth it.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens released a 1.5 minute-long trailer on Friday both in theatres and online on Apple and YouTube. Surprise, surprise, it’s already generating almost as much buzz as the movie itself. Even those who hated on the title of the film when it was released weeks ago have to admit that this snippet is so goosebumps-inducing, you want to watch it over, and over, and over again.
Wanting to soar alongside the Millennium Falcon? Let’s go! Looking to dust off that light sabre for a little jousting? It’s OK guys, we feel you — challenge accepted. Getting ready to stand up and cheer when John Williams’ epic Star Wars theme busts out? Hells yeah, us too!
There are almost no words, this trailer is too good. They should just take all of our money now because we’re seeing this one in theatres for sure. Is it FINALLY Dec. 18 yet? No? 2015? Next year??? OK. Well, let us just watch this a few dozen more times please. And maybe follow up with a cartwheel or two.
