There are a few moments that have really stood out from award shows past, especially the Video Music Awards. The first being the very quotable “Imma let you finish but…” at the 2009 VMAs when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift on stage during her acceptance speech to say she didn’t deserve her award.

Another iconic moment was the “Miley, what’s good” incident at the 2015 VMAs when Nicki Minaj called out Miley Cyrus on stage while accepting an award. It was in response to Miley calling the rapper “not too kind” in an interview with The New York Times.

It seems that the two are back at it again!

After 4 years of drama sobriety (and maybe even a brief reconciliation?) between the two, the feud is being reignited. It all started when Miley released a new song called “Cattitude” that features Ru Paul and the lyrics: “I love you, Nicki, but I listen to Cardi” — and apparently, that did not sit well with Nicki. The song makes reference to Nicki Minaj’s drama — who is no stranger to enemies and conflict — with Cardi B which led to actual violence in September 2018.

Nicki called out the beef — er, chicken — on the most recent episode of Queen Radio, calling Miley a “Perdue chicken.” She says: “Perdue Chickens can never talk shit about queens. She disrespected me in a magazine article for no reason.” She even alleges to have walked in on Miley and producer Mike WiLL Made-It in the studio.

Now does anyone remember Miley’s VMA twerking performance in 2013? Well, Nicki may not be that far off since many GIFs and memes went around comparing Miley to a chicken after that performance.

Miley hasn’t responded yet to Nicki Minaj, but the post notifications are on and we are ready for a war!
