Nicki Minaj is finally ready to share her little man with the world. Yup, that’s right—the 37-year- old updated The Barbz on her motherhood status on Instagram recently, revealing it was a son she had with her husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty on September 30.In a personal post that didn’t include a photo of her son or his name, Minaj thanked all of her celebrity friends for the outpouring of love she’s received since giving birth. “Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time,” she wrote along with a snap of several cards. “It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.”
In the main photo that’s bound to put that Bey-Barbz fan group subsection into a frenzy, you can see Beyoncé’s hand-written note that welcomes Minaj to motherhood and says, “God bless you and your family.” She signed it, “B,” because obviously Beyoncé needs no introductions. For their part, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sent a note that said, “Congrats! We love you! Kim + Kanye.” And model Winnie Harlow captured a mood when she wrote, “Baby Barb on Board! Congratulations sis, happy for the healthy delivery of your first bundle of joy. Sending you blessing and prayers on this new journey.”Minaj first announced her pregnancy back in July with an epic Instagram photoshoot that showed off her baby bump in all its glory. In the first of several glamorous shots the “Yikes” singer wore a floral bikini and captioned the post with a simple #preggers and a yellow heart emoji. In another, where she’s perched on a couch, she wrote, “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.”People first reported that Minaj had given birth at the end of September after getting confirmation from an unnamed source. Meanwhile, Minaj and Petty confirmed that they had tied the knot back in October 2019, when Minaj shared a video of matching “Mr. and Mrs.” mugs and “Bride” and “Groom” ballcaps on Instagram. “Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10-21-19,” she captioned the post, referencing her birth name, Onika Maraj.About a month before the wedding Minaj told fans that she was retiring from the business in order to focus on having her family (although she could have just been clapping back at a troll). “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, check in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE,” she wrote. The next day, when she realized how upset fans were at the potential news of her quitting, she promised that her retirement would be a larger discussion.“I’m still right here. Still madly in love with you guys & you know that,” she shared. “In hindsight, this should’ve been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be. I promise u guys will be happy. No guests, just us talking about everything. The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize babe.”Since then Minaj has kept as busy as ever, guest-starring on the 12th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and dropping a “Say So” remix with Doja Cat that quickly trended to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart. And now there’s even rumours that she’s planning a potential collaboration with Cardi B., which would definitely put an end to their previous beef. For now though, no one would blame Minaj for taking some time off to enjoy her new family. Although it’s pretty clear that no one would complain if she did decide to share a photo of the new little man in her life.[video_embed id='2054048']Before you go: Pup causes engagement ring photo to go horribly wrong[/video_embed]
