When nine lovely New Brunswick seniors were asked whether they wanted to take part in a Mother’s Day documentary, they said yes and thought nothing of it–but one Canadian company had other plans.

As the women, who live in a Moncton retirement community, talked on camera about what motherhood meant to them, the New Brunswick branch of Enbridge Gas were working behind the scenes to light up their day even more. You see, the seniors have kids living all over Canada (and some even in the U.S.) and Enbridge thought it would be great to fly them (and their kids) all in to surprise their beautiful mothers.

They told the women that to thank them for participating in the documentary, they’d prepare a dinner for them. Which they did, but with something a little extra special for dessert. Out came the kids and the grandkids and nephews too, much to the surprise of the women. The whole thing just makes you tear up (a lot!).

Speaking to CTV News after recovering from the surprise, one woman said, “everyone was crying and laughing. It was the best Mother’s Day gift ever.”
